Pouako/Lecturer - Nelson


Part time (30 hours per week) or full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent

Mehemea i ā koe te tohu kaiako, e matatau ana ki te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori, tukua mai to tono mo tenei mahi.

Te Tari Puna Ora o Aotearoa / New Zealand Childcare Association (NZCA) is a dynamic bicultural organisation, committed to supporting high quality early childhood education through initial teacher education.  Our new degree programme has been approved and our first cohort of degree students are have begun their studies this year.

Put into practice your enthusiasm for teaching adults and undertaking research while utilising your skills and experience to inspire cohorts of student teachers to reflect treaty principles in their studies as well as sharing the teaching of te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori at the teaching base.

You will have:

  • Fluency in te reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori (required)
  • A Masters degree in Education or relevant discipline (or be degree qualified and currently undertaking studies to achieve a Masters qualification).
  • Experience or interest in teaching adults at a tertiary level across our diploma and degree programmes
  • An interest in undertaking research within a collaborative framework
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A current full drivers licence and vehicle for work use
