During 2009 Te Tari Puna Ora o Aotearoa/NZ Childcare Association provided national professional development under contract from the Ministry of Education. In-centre and seminar based programmes were delivered to teachers and managers to help strengthen their early childhood education practice.
In-centre programmes
Our in-centre professional development programmes included:
- Kei Tua o te Pae / Assessment for Learning: Early Childhood Exemplars: a best practice resource to help teachers understand and strengthen children’s learning
- Te Whāriki: flexible centre focused programmes to address the professional development needs of early childhood services as they relate to Te Whāriki the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.
