Our Professional Development Facilitators
Juvena Jalal is our Academic Leader Professional Development and based at the National Office in Wellington. She is a trained education psychologist and experienced professional development facilitator. Juvena will be supporting the facilitators across the bases and will also be the additional facilitator for the Wellington region. Phone 027 491 3949
Arvay Armstrong-Read is our professional development facilitator at Whangarei teaching base. She is a graduate of our programme who has progressed well in the sector. Along with her Masters qualification, she has an extensive background in early childhood education having worked in roles in early intervention, Kindergarten, Ministry of Education and consultancy. Arvay will be working with centres in Kaitaia, Kaeo, TaipaManganui and Whangarei. Phone 027 491 3973
Jackie Solomon is our professional development facilitator at Wellington teaching base. She is experienced in early childhood teaching and as a facilitator in the previous Ministry contract in Wellington. Most recently, Jackie has been working as a Kindergarten teacher before accepting the opportunity to return to professional development facilitation. Jackie will be working with centres in Otaki, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Wellington and Masterton. Phone 027 491 3971
Stuart Guyton is our professional development facilitator at Nelson teaching base. He is well-known as an excellent facilitator, especially for his expertise and passion for practice with infants and toddlers. Tracy Graham is our professional development facilitator at the Masterton teaching base. She entered the ECE sector through her involvement as a playcentre parent, educator and co-ordinator. Tracy is an experienced early childhood educator, parent educator and professional development facilitator. She is also the co-ordinator for the REAP Wairarapa early childhood network.
